Q: Can I climb in the arena during the competition?
A: The arena will be closed to everyone except competitors from 5pm Thursday 9th - Sunday 12th.
Q: Will other areas of the venue be open to the public?
A: The gym, fitness classes, spa and café will be open during the competition. Unfortunately due to scrambles soft play being used as a warm up room, it will be closed after 2pm on Friday and closed all day on Saturday and Sunday - however alternative activities for children will be put on during the event. Additionally the Aerial Assault will be closed on Saturday & Sunday.
Q: Will there be transport from the city centre during the competition?
A: We have organised the Shuttle Bus to operate between the Ingliston Park & Ride (near Edinburgh Airport) and the EICA: Ratho.The Ingliston Park and Ride is just off the A8/Airport junction, beside Eastfield Road. Q: Can I just turn up and watch?
A: On Thursday and Friday, spectators are welcome to just turn up and watch, with tickets on sale for the Saturday and Sunday.
Q. What can I do while I am in Scotland for the competition?
A. There are loads of places to see and visit during your stay - visit our 'things to do in Scotland' page for some inspiration.
Q. I am bringing a camper van – can I park in the car park?
A. Please speak to EICA management, for more information.
Q. Where else can I climb indoors in the local area?
A. We would recommend you review the MCofS website plus Alien Rock in Edinburgh or the Glasgow Climbing Centre within 45 minutes of EICA
